Marcin Matysik

Managing partner of Accelero Ventures / Founder

Marcin Matysik is a graduate of the Poznań University of Technology in the field of Management and Marketing and of the Adam Mickiewicz University in the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science.

He has many years of professional experience in managing and supervising investments in the IT, FMCG, construction and investment sectors. He specializes in the process of obtaining private financing for innovative entities and the implementation of mergers and acquisitions, preparation of business and economic analyzes, as well as joining the parties to the transaction and the acquisition of new projects.

Founder and Managing Partner of the Accelero Venture Fund, established with the Polish Development Fund (PFR) and private investors.

Marcin is associated with a group of real estate companies operating both on the secondary and primary market, acquiring funds and implementing development investments (building houses, purchasing real estate, selling). Since 2017, he has been the President of the Management Board and a shareholder of DM CAPITAL.
From 2018, he was a member of the Management Board and shareholder of Polskie Centrum Dystrybucyjne – a distribution center for the independent market as well as a member of the Management Board and shareholder of COSMETICS FACTORY s.r.o. – a producer and distributor of color cosmetics, and the owner of the COMO MILANO brand operating on the European market.

In the years 2007 – 2017, he was strongly associated with the Komputronik S.A. Group. He started as Vice Director – Integrated Systems Center – responsible for the Group’s internal IT systems, commercial implementation of Management Systems and building the Komputronik.pl online store and integration of solutions. From 2011-2018, the President of the Management Board and shareholder of Komputronik API – a Group company – integrator and supplier of Integrated IT Systems. The company dealt with the implementation of many IT projects in the entire spectrum of IT fields; including acquisition, implementation and settlement of many EU projects.

Marcin was a co-founder and investor of several startups, including associated with the Poznań Technology and Industry Park, implementing many unique projects, including for the Ministry of Justice or Autostrada Wielkopolska. Previously, he gained professional experience as a Consultant and Manager in the Poznań-based Doradztwo Gospodarcze DGA SA company – involved in the implementation of IT systems supporting the ISO Certification process and Risk Management. Implementation of projects throughout Poland in the energy (Enea, EnergiaPro), industrial and state sectors. Organization and implementation of the system in all branches of the Agricultural Social Insurance Fund KRUS, tax offices, mines, transport companies PKP PLK or insurance companies (Commercial Union).

Agata Pękalska

Managing partner of Accelero Ventures / Founder

Agata Pękalska completed postgraduate studies Master of Business Administration (MBA) at the Business School of the Warsaw University of Technology, London Business School of Economics, Haute Ecole de Commerce and the Norwegian School of Economics. She graduated with honors from the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Warsaw, specializing in financial law. He has a tax advisor certificate.

Founder and Managing Partner of the Accelero Venture Fund, an investment fund established with the Polish Development Fund (PFR) and private investors. Currently, Agata Pękalska is also an expert and member of the jury of the European Innovation Council at the Parliament of the European Union with a dedicated budget of EUR 10 billion for 2021-2027 for investment in SME.

Previously, for nearly 7 years, she was a Partner in an Investment Fund established with the National Capital Fund under the Swiss Contribution program. Agata Pękalska is an experienced manager, in the past acting as President and Member of the Management Board, among others in the PZH Baltona S.A. capital group, BH Travel sp.z o. O, Kliniki.pl sp.z o.o. and DUKA Polska Sp. z o. o. Agata Pękalska was the chairman or a member of Supervisory Boards in such companies as i-Taxi sp. z o. o, XTRF Management Systems SA, Inex System sp. z o. o, RightHello sp. z o. as part of her advisory activity, she cooperated with KPMG.

Agata Pękalska has extensive experience in investment processes, strategic consulting, increasing the value of companies and their scaling, implementing optimization and restructuring processes, preparing companies for IPO, obtaining financing in various capital structures and participating in M&A processes at an international level (transactions on the Swedish market, French, Romanian).

Jacek Musiał

Managing partner of Accelero Ventures / Founder

Jacek Musiał graduated from the Faculty of Management at the University of Economics in Poznań.

He has many years of professional experience in managing and supervising investments in the renewable energy and ICT sectors. He has extensive consulting experience in the field of investments, business dvelopment, M&A. Throughout his 25 years of his professional career, he has gained experience in the field of HR management, product development, getting to know many industries and the specifics of their operation. He is an energy auditor. He dealt with strategic management, process optimization, restructuring processes and investments. He managed large teams of people.

In the years 1995 – 2006 he worked for DGA SA, a company listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange. He started his career as a consultant, then he was a project manager, director of the strategy department, director of the energy department and vice-president of the Management Board (including during the IPO period).

In 2007 he became a co-founder of CREO Consulting Sp. z o.o. – President of the Management Board, then managing partner. The CREO company dealt with consulting projects in the field of M&A, capital investments and specialized in the renewable energy, energy and pharmacy industries.

In 2012, he was the founder of a fund entity: BioEn Ventures BMV Sp. z o.o. SK specializing in the development of investments in the field of renewable energy. In the following years, he was the founder and developed further SPVs in the renewable energy sector. In the years (2016-2019) he was a Member of the Management Board and Managing Director in the IT industry of XTRF Management Systems SA belonging to the Experior Venture Fund (VC) investment portfolio.

Krzysztof Berdzik

Partner of Accelero Ventures / Founder

Krzysztof Berdzik is a graduate of the University of Economics in Poznań with a specialization in Capital Investments and Corporate Financial Strategies and Hochschule Für Wirtschaft und Recht Berlin. He graduated from the PhD studies at the University of Economics in Poznań, and for his scientific achievements in the field of research on capital markets, he received the Dean’s Award of the University of Economics in Poznań.

Founder and Managing Partner of the Accelero Ventures investment fund established with the Polish Development Fund (PFR) and private investors.

Previously, as a manager and president of the management board of a consulting company (DGA and Creo Consulting), for several years he supported the development of both international corporations and the largest Polish enterprises as well as start-ups. In consulting, he specialized in the area of strategic consulting and business optimization.

As a member of the management board of investment companies BioEn Ventures and Volt.On he specialises in tangible and capital investments in the field of renewable energy sources, he managed a portfolio of “green” projects for several years. He also developed the activities of companies in this industry as a board member and director of innovation (EneCrops, Acceler.On, iTen, Involta, Amper.On)

For almost three years, he also served as a supervisory board member of the venture capital fund Tredecim Innovation Fund.

An expert in the field of investment activities, “green” business, increasing the value of the organization, strategic management, process optimization and restructuring activities.
